Dave Parr

Lead Guitar

Dave's musical career goes back to the days of Trogg Bar and Gibbo's. Bands on the scene at the time included the likes of Argus and Lady Jane. Dave began rehearsing with such local super stars as Dean Marshall and Kev Swain. Somehow, from the noise of these make shift masters of Gibbo Grunge came Porco Loco and his first gigging band.

Lone guitarist in a female fronted five piece was the order of the day for the next few years with first Opium, and later Foreign Affair. Keyboard player in both of these bands was a very young Simon Wright, now with Queen tribute band TRF. From there it was guitar vocals time for Dave. Firstly with Crimerate and then the Lostboys, a four piece made up of two of Dave's aerospace colleagues, Drummer Andy 'Panda' Richardson and Lead Guitarist Neil Thompson, and bass guitarist Dave Marwood.

With Panda heading for pastures new in Scotland the Lostboys came to an end. Dave joined a clean living rock / grunge band comprising of a none union member, a jordie and a copper - doomed to failure from day one! Following that Dave teamed up once again with Mr Marwood in a series of peculiar adventures culminating in the very appropriately name “Fly By Night”; enough of that; this could deteriorate into a bitter and twisted rant!

Next came Vendetta; a reunion with Mark of Porco Loco and Phil from Opium. After a couple of non gigging ventures with Mark Dave took a five year break before returning to the stage with this band and his old mucker Mr Marwood. Now swinging a Jackson Flying V suped up through a Boss GT-8 into stereo Marshall amps, Davie’s back in town!
