Disability Champions in Tanzania
In an exciting new development Northern Ireland based disability organisation Disability Action have established a project in Tanzania which has produced a Swahili version of our course and aims to train 100 union activists by the end of the year. The first course takes place in Dar es Salaam 13th to 15th June. Congratulations to project worker John Coglan for making this happen and all the very best of luck with this and fraternal greetings to the TUICO in Tanzania.the first Disability Champions training by Tanzanian trade union TUICO took place in Dar es Salaam on 13/14/15 June 2011 using Swahili translated manuals and materials. 42 trade union reps took part and the training was given by TUICO members and our Tanzanian project worker Vincent Kaduma. Our influence is spreading worldwide!
