So here we are, after much seed sowing, planning, organisation and hard work. Unison, the Ambulance Service, East Riding College and the TUC have cooperated closely to create this unique opportunity to learn about our counterparts in New York. The study group has been meeting on a regular basis, identifying our objectives, doing research and developing skills that will be put to good use when we meet up with health care workers at City University. The whole experience will be written up and published sometime in the summer and will be available on this website. So if you are interested in comparing the emergency health service in New York with our own; the roles, responsibilities and remuneration, plus the union organisation and how it works, watch this space.
